RCM Quality Assurance Supervisor

EyeCare Partners is a leading provider of clinically integrated eye care with a national network of ophthalmologists and optometrists.

The Quality Assurance Supervisor - Claims oversees quality assurance and performance across charge entry and claims management functions for multiple practices. This role supervises internal and offshore teams, leads QA auditing, supports workflow optimization, and helps standardize processes across revenue cycle operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising day-to-day charge posting and claims readiness operations
  • Reviewing and auditing claims submissions, edits, rejections, and charge entry for quality and accuracy
  • Tracking error trends and providing monthly QA and performance summaries
  • Building dashboards and reports using Power BI and other tools
  • Coordinating with managers to address training issues and process gaps
  • Maintaining SOPs and documentation aligned with billing guidelines
  • Resolving complex or escalated claims and charge issues
  • Conducting training on billing protocols, charge entry standards, and regulatory updates
  • Ensuring compliance with HIPAA and federal/state billing regulations

For remote team members, a HIPAA-compliant home office environment is required.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in charge posting and/or claims submission and reconciliation
  • 1-2 years of supervisory and/or QA-focused experience preferred

Knowledge and skills

  • Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding and claims submission workflows
  • Experience with billing platforms, clearinghouses, and EHR/PMS systems such as NextGen and Waystar
  • Strong time management, organization, and analytical skills
  • Experience with error analysis, root cause investigation, and performance coaching
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of payer guidelines, compliance requirements, and HIPAA regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead, coach, and collaborate across teams

Supervisory responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of charge posting and claims production staff
  • Oversight of QA auditing for onshore and offshore production teams
  • Interviewing, hiring, training, assigning, and directing work
  • Appraising performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems
