Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests within designated timeframes
- Moderate computer skills
Preferred experience
- 1+ years of experience with insurance verification or data entry in the medical field
- Basic working knowledge of billing procedures, insurance reimbursement, and guidelines in a medical or anesthesia setting
- Basic understanding of insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, government plans, HMOs, and PPOs
- 1 year of prior electronic medical records experience (EMR/EHR)
- Beginner-level Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to changing work situations
