Kimel Park Surgery Center is hiring an Insurance Verifier for its outpatient surgical facility.
The role is responsible for validating and entering patient information and insurance coverage into the computer system. Additional duties may include communicating with physician offices and insurance carriers, following up with patients, and providing registration coverage.
This position supports the Business Office Manager, Administrator, and clinical leadership team in delivering quality patient care. The schedule is weekday-based with no weekends, on-call shifts, or holidays. Some early morning coverage may be required as a backup for receptionist and patient check-in responsibilities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of previous medical insurance verification experience required
- 2 years of hospital, surgery center, or medical office experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage time in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
