Center for Special Surgery is hiring a Biller-Collector for an ambulatory surgery center in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The role is responsible for billing and collection-related tasks for patient transactions, including verifying insurance coverage, reviewing procedures and modifiers, creating billing batches, posting billings, and sending bills according to surgery center guidelines.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of medical billing experience
- HST experience preferred
- Familiarity with patient accounting software, especially AdvantX
- Ability to read and understand insurance explanations of benefits and managed care contracts
- Proficiency with Internet Explorer, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills and proper English grammar
