At LUX Infusion, the Medical Biller and Collections Specialist supports billing and reimbursement for infusion care in a patient-centered, clinician-led environment.
This role is responsible for managing patient accounts, submitting and following up on insurance claims, resolving denials and aged claims, and communicating with patients, caregivers, payers, and internal teams. The position helps ensure billing accuracy, timely reimbursement, and compliance with payer, state, and federal requirements.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST. This is a hybrid role following onsite training, with in-office work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and remote work on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of healthcare billing experience
- Strong computer proficiency and comfort learning billing systems
- Working knowledge of NYS Medicaid, Medicare Part B, and third-party payers
- Ability to follow direction while managing responsibilities independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Healthcare Services or a related field
- Prior billing experience with a home medical equipment or infusion provider
