Tareen Dermatology is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to support revenue cycle operations in a fast-paced specialty practice.
The role focuses on claim submission, denial management, payment posting, accounts receivable follow-up, insurance reimbursement, and related billing workflows. The position is remote with occasional in-office meetings, and candidates must live within commuting distance of Roseville, MN / the Minneapolis–St. Paul area.
Key duties include reviewing visit coding, posting charges and payments, processing claims, working denials, supporting collections, following up on outstanding balances, educating patients on billing and insurance questions, and helping maintain timely reimbursement and cash flow.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 2 years of medical billing experience required
- Dermatology, surgical, or specialty practice billing experience preferred
- Prior billing experience in a medical office or clinic preferred
- Experience with patient registration, collecting payments, and verifying insurance information preferred
- Proficiency in typing, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and oral communication
- Strong computer skills and ability to navigate practice management and EHR systems
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong phone and in-person communication skills
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
