Perform specialized administrative and medical insurance billing work to support the financial operations of dental clinics and reproductive health and immunization services at community health clinics.
Responsibilities include processing and submitting insurance claims, posting payments, reviewing and resolving denied or unpaid claims, verifying insurance coverage and claim status, maintaining accurate billing records, and ensuring compliance with Medicaid, commercial insurance, and healthcare billing regulations.
Provide backup billing support for Behavioral Health clinics and assist with credentialing and contracting work with insurers.
The role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of dental and medical billing practices, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
High school diploma or GED.
Experience with claims submission, Medicaid claim processing, denials and appeals, and explanation of benefits (EOB) posting.
Preferred qualifications:
- At least 2 years of dental billing experience
- Medicaid billing experience strongly preferred
- 1 year of clinical billing experience
- Prior credentialing experience
County group health plan including prescription, dental, and optical coverage.
