Responsible for patient accounts receivable functions, including reconciling and submitting third-party claims, researching and correcting denied or errored claims, and communicating with insurance companies and government payers to resolve claim issues. The role also supports Medicaid eligibility coordination, patient financial assistance programs, billing issue resolution, remittance reconciliation, credit balance processing, and training support for registration and admitting staff. This position does not include patient care.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2 years of directly related experience.
Knowledge of third-party payer regulations, Medicare, Medicaid, claims coding, and claim formats.
Ability to research billing issues, resolve discrepancies, and communicate effectively with patients, payers, and internal departments.
Bilingual ability in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, Vietnamese, or Navajo is preferred but not required.
