As a Medical Biller I, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate claims, timely reimbursement, and exceptional service for patients and payers. This role supports revenue cycle operations by submitting clean claims, resolving payer issues, documenting accounts thoroughly, addressing billing concerns professionally, and investigating credit balances.

Work schedule:
- Full-time (80 hours bi-weekly)
- Day shift
- No weekends
- No holidays
- No on-call commitment
Responsibilities include:
- Timely claim submission and follow-up with payers
- Handling payer rejections, correspondence, and contract variances
- Appealing denials based on hospital or physician billing requirements
- Maintaining accurate account documentation in the billing system
- Answering patient and third-party billing questions professionally
- Reviewing, investigating, and resolving credit balances
- Meeting productivity and quality expectations
- Supporting AR reduction and cash collection goals
Must have:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field
- Knowledge of hospital and/or physician billing
- Working knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT terminology
- Familiarity with EPIC, Availity, and payer portals is preferred
