This role supports professional billing charge capture and medical coding activities, including reviewing clinical documentation, assigning appropriate codes, generating provider queries when documentation is unclear, performing coding audits, and helping improve coding quality and compliance.
The position offers the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S., subject to company telecommuter policy.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience with documentation for procedures, supplies, and E&M levels, including ED, OB, and OBS
- Intermediate-level Microsoft Office experience
- Intermediate-level EHR experience, specifically with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified coder credential from AAPC (CPC) or AHIMA (CCS, RHIT, RHIA)
