The position focuses on provider education, coding quality improvement, documentation enhancement, and compliance support. It involves analyzing coding trends, preparing reports and presentations, using data analytics tools, and collaborating with market-facing teams to improve documentation integrity and workflow processes.
This is a remote position with occasional travel to provider offices and Humana locations for training or meetings.
- AHIMA or AAPC CPC certification
- 3+ years of medical coding education or auditing experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency with data analytics tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar
- Experience interpreting large data sets
- Knowledge of healthcare risk adjustment, including HCC coding and CMS-HCC model version 28
- Experience speaking with leadership, delivering webinars, or presenting to healthcare providers
- Must live in NC, SC, GA, or VA
