As an Educator, you will contribute to the planning, coordination, and delivery of healthcare-related educational and training programs.
You will assist in scheduling and conducting diverse healthcare training programs and provide direct coordination and instruction in educational initiatives to ensure effective learning experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Using aggregate data, research, and trends to develop education programs and assess documentation effectiveness within the specialty area
- Providing timely feedback to providers regarding documentation opportunities and successes
- Coordinating and conducting regular meetings with HIM Coding Professionals to monitor retrospective query rates and address issues
- Engaging Case Management and RAC committees to identify and support documentation improvement opportunities that reduce denials and support medical necessity
- Communicating monthly with providers and leadership regarding documentation trends requiring greater specificity
- Participating in the creation, implementation, and evaluation of provider documentation initiatives
This is a hybrid role with remote and in-office work in Phoenix, Arizona.
Requirements & Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree
- 1+ years of clinical coding documentation experience
- Registered Nurse licensure in Arizona
Preferred qualifications:
- Master of Nursing degree
- Nursing experience in a specialty area
- 2 or more years of experience
