The position is based in Tucson, AZ or Omaha, NE, with a hybrid schedule of 2 days in office and 3 days remote. Fully remote work may be considered for the right candidate.
Requirements & Qualifications
Responsibilities
- Review chart documentation for accuracy
- Review plan of care information
- Enter information into the EMR system
- Maintain quality standards for Coding & OASIS
- Work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Communicate effectively with agencies and team members
- Stay current on PDGM and coding/OASIS guideline changes
- Comply with applicable laws, policies, procedures, regulations, and HIPAA requirements
- Complete work timely with strong attention to detail and organization
Qualifications
- Background in OASIS documentation, ICD-10 coding, QA, and compliance in Medicare Home Health
- Experience with Plan of Care, Start of Care (SOC), Resumption of Care (ROC), Recertification, Discharge, and HIS documentation
- Dual certification in home care coding (HCS-D) and OASIS (HSC-O or COS-C)
- At least 1 year of experience in ICD-10 coding and OASIS review
- Experience with Kantime, WellSky, and Careficient preferred
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, coachable, and dependable
- Proof of negative TB test
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
