Join UW Health as a Medical Coding Specialist II supporting orthopedic, rehabilitation, and multi-specialty coding needs.
This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position that is 100% remote. Hours may vary based on departmental needs. Applicants hired into this role can work from most states, subject to UW Health's approved remote work state list.
You will use encoder and grouper software along with other coding resources to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and E&M codes. The role also requires applying coding regulations and institutional guidelines to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Applicants must have one of the following:
- Medical coding education, or
- An active coding certification in lieu of formal coding education
Experience requirements:
- 1 year of progressive coding experience required
- 2 years of progressive coding experience in multiple specialties preferred
- HCC-specific experience required for HCC-focused roles
- HCC risk adjustment coding experience preferred
