Aegis Healthcare is seeking a motivated and coachable Home Health Coding & OASIS Review Specialist to review chart documentation for accuracy, review plan of care, enter information into the EMR system, and maintain quality standards for Coding & OASIS.
The role supports home health operations by ensuring documentation accuracy, compliance with industry guidelines, and timely completion of coding and OASIS review work. The position is available in Tucson, AZ or Omaha, NE with a hybrid schedule of 2 days in office and 3 days remote. A fully remote arrangement may be considered for the right candidate.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- Experience with home health ICD-10 coding and OASIS chart review
- Coding and OASIS certifications required
- At least 1 year of experience in ICD-10 coding and OASIS review
- Background in OASIS documentation, QA, and compliance for Medicare home health
- Knowledge of Plan of Care, Start of Care (SOC), Resumption of Care (ROC), Recertification, Discharge, HIS, and related workflows
- Dual certification in home care coding (HCS-D) and OASIS (HSC-O or COS-C) preferred
- Experience with Kantime, WellSky, and Careficient preferred
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
- Familiarity with PDGM and coding/OASIS reimbursement guidelines
- Must be able to comply with HIPAA and pass a criminal background check
- Proof of negative TB test required
