Surgical Information Systems (SIS) provides software and services that support ambulatory surgery centers and perioperative teams, including revenue cycle management, EHR, compliance technology, and transcription services.
This role is a remote billing support position focused on claim accuracy, rejection management, and coordination between billing, coding, and client teams to ensure timely and correct reimbursement.
Experience with medical billing and insurance guidelines.
Experience working payer rejections at the time of billing, including commercial, government, out-of-network, workers’ compensation, and auto-vehicle claims.
Working knowledge of ambulatory surgery center (ASC) or ancillary environments.
Understanding of IPAs and health plans.
Comfort with electronic and manual payer follow-up.
Knowledge of CPT codes, ICD codes, modifiers, and charge posting processes.
Ability to read and interpret insurance plans, financial reports, and legal documents.
Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to work under deadlines.
