Requirements & Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience
- Demonstrated success in denial management and accounts receivable recovery
- Experience building and submitting effective appeal packets
- Working knowledge of payer-specific billing rules and prior authorization processes
- Strong experience with Athenahealth and/or Brightree, or a comparable EHR/PMS
- Ability to explain complex billing situations to patients clearly and professionally
- Experience in sleep medicine, DME, neurology, or specialty outpatient billing preferred
- Experience mentoring junior billing staff preferred
