The Specialty Alliance is seeking an experienced Medical Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist to support a multi-specialty physician organization with a strong focus on revenue cycle performance, compliance, and patient care.
This is an on-site role based in Glendale, Arizona. The specialist will manage payer accounts, resolve claim issues, reduce outstanding accounts receivable, and help ensure accurate and timely reimbursement across specialty service lines, including urology and radiation oncology.
Key responsibilities include managing assigned A/R inventory, submitting clean claims, resolving denials and underpayments, correcting claim errors, maintaining accurate account information, processing adjustments, and collaborating with coding and clinical teams to resolve complex reimbursement issues.
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of healthcare billing, accounts receivable, or medical reimbursement experience
- Strong understanding of commercial and government payer reimbursement methodologies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in a specialty physician practice or multi-specialty medical group
- Revenue cycle experience in urology, oncology, radiation oncology, infusion services, or other procedure-intensive specialties
- Working knowledge of denial management, appeals, payer follow-up, and reimbursement optimization
- Experience with Centricity or similar practice management/billing systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize a high-volume workload with strong attention to detail
