The Exogen Order Specialist serves as the key point of contact and provides administrative support for the Field Sales Team and Reimbursement Services for assigned territories. This role coordinates and monitors daily order activity, including entering order data, interfacing with sales, reimbursement services, patient financial services, and customers, and handling inquiries through follow-up calls and written communications.
Key responsibilities include processing product orders accurately and in compliance with company procedures, resolving order issues, processing referral orders submitted by fax, maintaining proactive communication with internal and external partners, reporting order status to sales and leadership, performing clerical and administrative tasks, researching process complaints, and escalating issues when needed. The role also requires adherence to Bioventus' Code of Compliance and Ethics and applicable policies and internal controls.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
Two years of experience required, including:
- 1 year of medical authorization experience in a medical claims environment involving negotiation, problem resolution, and order entry using an online computer terminal
- 1 year of general office experience including typing, PC use, and filing
Additional qualifications:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work with customers and personnel at all levels
- Understanding of general medical terminology
- Ability to work independently and complete assignments
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with integrated software applications strongly desired
