Medical Biller and Office Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join our healthcare team as a Medical Biller and Office Manager. This role combines medical billing, coding, and insurance claims management with day-to-day office operations to help ensure efficient, compliant, and patient-focused service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review patient records to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses, procedures, and treatments.
  • Submit insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims.
  • Ensure billing procedures comply with healthcare laws, regulations, and insurance policies.
  • Monitor patient accounts to confirm timely payments.
  • Review and process billing inquiries related to charges, claims, and payment schedules.
  • Maintain accurate patient billing records and files.
  • Work with insurance providers and healthcare professionals to resolve billing discrepancies and appeals.
  • Stay current on coding standards such as ICD-10 and CPT, as well as billing regulations.
  • Oversee daily office operations, including supplies, scheduling, and meeting coordination.
  • Supervise and train administrative staff.
  • Manage patient appointments and maintain an organized office environment.
  • Serve as the main contact for vendors and office services.
  • Handle correspondence, prepare reports, and assist with office budgeting.
  • Support office policies and procedures and collaborate with leadership to improve operations.
Requirements & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in medical billing, office administration, or healthcare management is a plus.

  • Proven experience as a Medical Biller, Office Manager, or similar administrative role in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance codes, and billing procedures.
  • Familiarity with billing software such as Epic, Kareo, or similar systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other office software.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance regulations.
  • Leadership experience managing a team is highly preferred.
