A strong candidate will have:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of medical billing or medical accounts receivable experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Ability to reconcile insurance payments and work with denials and aging accounts
- Ability to navigate online insurance websites
- Experience with explanation of benefits (EOB) and payment posting preferred
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to interact positively with patients and team members
