Epic Denials Management Operator

Join Deloitte's AI & Engineering practice to support hospital denials management and deliver back-end revenue cycle management (RCM) services, including billing and claims submission, A/R follow-up, denials management, payment posting, and credits and refunds, for a health care provider client.

This is a primarily remote role supporting enterprise Epic support, with minimal travel and scheduled onsite time as needed.

As an Epic Denials Management Operator, you will support review of denials (835/277 processing) received from third-party payers. Responsibilities include denial categorization, root cause analysis, payer outreach, appeal letter preparation, rebilling corrected claims, and routing issues to the appropriate coding, billing, credentialing, denials, or clinical teams.

You will document denial details, research, and follow-up activities in EMR and patient accounting systems, review AR aging reports and work queues, and follow up with payers on open denials, appeals, and outstanding balances. You will also help resolve issues related to eligibility, authorizations, claim edits, coordination of benefits, and missing documentation.

The role requires adherence to SOPs and workflows while working within Epic Resolute Hospital Billing, claims clearinghouse systems, payer portals, and other related tools. You will be expected to meet productivity and quality standards.
