Medical Biller for nephrology practice in Atlanta, GA.
Pay: $20–24/hr.
Location: Atlanta, GA (fully onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
Responsibilities include reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness, preparing and transmitting claims through billing software, following up on unpaid claims, checking insurance payments for accuracy and contract compliance, contacting insurance companies to resolve payment discrepancies, identifying secondary or tertiary insurance, reviewing all accounts for insurance or patient follow-up, and researching and appealing denied claims.

Qualifications and skills
- Knowledge of HMO/PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer requirements and systems
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing/collections
- Nephrology billing experience required
- Effective communication with insurance payers to resolve issues
- Strong customer service skills for interacting with patients and families regarding medical claims and payments
- Problem-solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies, denials, appeals, and collections
- Knowledge of medical terminology commonly encountered in medical claims
