Join Regions Hospital as a Health Information Coding Analyst II on a multi-hospital health system coding team. In this role, you will accurately assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes and MS-DRG/APR-DRG groupings for inpatient encounters across several acute-care facilities. You will help ensure coding accuracy, compliance, and timely completion to support quality reporting, reimbursement, and organizational performance.
This role is remote and works Monday through Friday on a flexible schedule. Candidates must live in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, or South Dakota.
Key responsibilities include:
- Completing coding analysis of each individual patient stay
- Providing accurate diagnoses, procedures, and other relevant data for financial reimbursement and statistical reporting
- Performing related duties as assigned
Education:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in health information, completion of a coding specialist program, or successful completion of an AHIMA or AAPC coding credential exam
Experience:
- 3–5 years of ICD-10/CPT coding experience
- Preferred: 5+ years of ICD-10/CPT coding experience
Certification/Licensure:
- One or more of the following preferred or required credentials: CCA, CIC, COC, CCS, CPC, HCS, CEDC, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA
