West Oaks Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented HIM/Medical Records Coding Specialist to join a compassionate, dedicated team. The role focuses on assigning diagnostic and procedure codes and abstracting data for outpatient and/or inpatient encounters based on documentation in the medical record, while maintaining compliance with established rules and regulatory guidelines.
West Oaks Hospital provides psychiatric care to the Houston area and surrounding communities and offers a broad range of behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and adults across multiple levels of care.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) required; two years of coding experience may be substituted for CCS.
Two years of clerical experience required.
Preferred experience includes ICD-10 and CPT coding.
