Ensure compliance by supporting the patient’s perspective and protecting patient rights.
Review discharged patient records daily for completeness and to meet regulatory standards. Perform data abstraction and analysis to meet requirements from payers and regulatory bodies. Collect and present data in a useful format to support facility performance improvement initiatives. Attend performance improvement meetings, participate in projects, and support routine regulatory goals. Assist the department director with routine departmental assignments and tasks. Collaborate with clinical teams on patient safety and quality of care issues. Participate in risk management and quality of care initiatives. Support development and implementation of quality improvement plans and goals for the facility. Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward patients and customers, and help resolve complaints when patient needs are not met.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in health services preferred
