Medical Records Biller III

Koniag Advisory Business Solutions LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Medical Biller III to support a government healthcare customer in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

This role supports outpatient and inpatient billing operations for hospitals and clinics, with responsibility for claim preparation, submission, follow-up, and resolution of rejected or suspended claims. The position is mission-driven and focused on maintaining billing accuracy, compliance, and revenue integrity.

This is a hybrid role. Initial onboarding and training are on site full-time in Oklahoma City, and telework may become available based on performance and operational needs.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 3+ years of medical billing, claims processing, patient accounts, or revenue cycle experience; or an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Medical Billing and Coding, Business, or a related field with 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Billing, Medical Coding, Health Information Management, or related program preferred.
  • Working knowledge of outpatient and inpatient claim preparation, payer requirements, UB-04 and CMS-1500 forms, and accounts receivable follow-up.
  • Working knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding used in billing support functions.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records, billing systems, encoder tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and analytical ability.
  • Experience in Indian Health Service, tribal healthcare, or other federal/hospital-based environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with RPMS/EHR and third-party billing workflows preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Tier II background investigation determination and Public Trust access as required.
  • Must comply with HIPAA, HITECH, the Privacy Act, and all applicable privacy, confidentiality, records management, and cybersecurity requirements.
