OS Inc. is seeking a certified medical coder with back-end denial coding and revenue cycle receivables experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to excellence in revenue cycle operations. This role focuses on resolving coding-related denials, improving reimbursement outcomes, and supporting clients in a fast-paced, paperless environment.

You will be part of a collaborative team that values subject matter expertise, technology-driven problem-solving, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements & Qualifications

Required experience

  • Experience in back-end medical coding and denials
  • Experience on the receivables side of revenue cycle
  • Background in hospital and clinic coding environments

Required certifications

  • Current coding certification from AHIMA or AAPC, such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, COC, or CIC

Core skills

  • Strong technical proficiency with Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
  • Commitment to accuracy, quality, and productivity
  • Interest in revenue cycle operations and continuous learning
  • Comfort working in a fully paperless environment

Responsibilities

  • Review and resolve back-end revenue cycle coding-related denials
  • Analyze EOBs and follow through on discrepancies to resolution
  • Prepare and submit appeals as needed
  • Identify and help resolve coding and reimbursement issues with leadership and revenue cycle teams
  • Recommend process improvements to reduce denials and optimize revenue
  • Assign and/or verify CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and ICD-10-PCS codes, including appropriate modifiers
  • Sequence diagnoses and procedures according to official coding guidelines
  • Deliver high-quality service to clients and stakeholders
