Sagebrush Health is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Benefits & Eligibility Analyst to join its healthcare team. This role supports rheumatology, neurology, and infectious disease clinics by ensuring patients are financially cleared before appointments.
The position focuses on insurance verification, benefits review, referrals, Continuation of Care (COC) authorizations, and accurate documentation in the EHR. You will collaborate with front office, prior authorization, billing, and clinical operations teams to help ensure a smooth patient experience.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years of experience in medical insurance verification, benefits, referrals, or healthcare administration preferred
- Experience in a specialty medical practice preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, HMO/PPO, and VA/TriWest insurance
- Familiarity with referrals, Continuation of Care (COC), prior authorizations, and patient financial responsibility
- Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
