We're looking for a detail-oriented coding specialist who is passionate about accuracy, compliance, and supporting quality healthcare. This role focuses on assigning accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes, reviewing documentation, resolving coding edits, and supporting claims across multiple specialties.
You will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of medical coding experience
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC or CPC-A) preferred, or certification required within one year of hire
- Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, and commercial payer guidelines
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
- Preferred: experience coding professional services in a teaching environment
- Preferred: familiarity with Medicare Teaching Physician Rules
- Preferred: AthenaOne experience
