1.0 FTE day shift position at Olmsted Medical Center focused on hospital coding and reimbursement support.
- Assign ICD-10, ICD-10-PCS, HCPCS, modifiers, and CPT codes.
- Use DRG and APC grouper tools to support optimal reimbursement.
- Assist with concurrent chart review data collection for admissions.
- Monitor payer guideline updates and documentation timeliness.
- Support pre-claim edit review, denial work lists, insurance inquiries, and departmental reporting.
- Attend ongoing training to stay current with coding guidelines.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Experience with ICD-10, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, HCPCS, APC, and DRG coding.
- RHIT or CPC certification or accreditation required.
- One year of coding experience.
- Preferred certification: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS).
