This role supports busy providers and surgeons in both academic and non-academic settings. The position is fully remote, and Banner Health provides equipment.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent, or an associate degree in a related healthcare field
- At least 6 months of professional coding services or related healthcare experience
- Current certification in active status: CPC, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CPC-A, RHIA, or RHIT
- Must have knowledge of ICD and CPT coding principles
- Must be able to work effectively in a remote setting using office programs, coding software, and abstracting systems
Preferred qualifications
- Oncology experience
- Specialty certification
- Additional related education and/or experience
