Integrated Home Care Services (IHCS) provides integrated home-based healthcare services, including durable medical equipment (DME), respiratory, home health, and home infusion.
The DME Collections Specialist is responsible for reviewing patient account open balances, assigning and reviewing ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for outpatient medical records, and handling appeal denials as needed to collect delinquent balances.
Requirements & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- 1-2 years of DME collections experience
- 2-3 years of healthcare billing and coding support experience within home care services preferred
- Medical biller/coder certification highly desired
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use computer programs and applications, including EMR/EHR systems
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently
- Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus
