Join a growing, family-focused medical billing team at UB Neurosurgery, Inc.
This on-site full-time role is responsible for managing insurance accounts receivable, following up on unpaid claims, handling claim corrections and resubmissions, and supporting patients with account and ledger questions. The position also involves maintaining accurate documentation, system notes, and records related to outstanding claims and appeals.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 2–5 years of medical billing experience handling A/R responsibilities
- Extensive EMR experience, preferably MEDENT
- Knowledge of medical insurance processes and claim correction requirements
- Familiarity with WNY Healthenet, Connex, ePaces, Availity, and similar portals
- Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid resubmissions
- Experience with electronic resubmissions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills
- Ability to remain professional in stressful situations
