Laboratory experienced biller needed for a growing RCM firm.
This is a remote position and the applicant must pass a complete background check.
The role involves laboratory billing work with a focus on claims follow-up, denial handling, payment posting, payer strategy, and billing analysis.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in laboratory billing.
Must have a strong understanding of:
- PLA codes
- MolDx
- SQL reporting
- Appeal packet creation
- Analytics and automation
- Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payors
- Payer strategies
- Front-end rejections
- Denial follow-up
- 277 reports
- Billing policies and analysis
- Redetermination reviews
- Payment posting
Additional qualifications:
- MEDISOFT and Emedx platform experience preferred
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills
