Advanced Psychiatry of Elgin is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented part-time billing specialist to support day-to-day billing operations. The role is suited for someone who can work independently, solve problems, and provide excellent customer service.
The schedule is Monday through Friday for 4–5 hours per day, with example shifts such as 9:00 AM–1:00 PM or 2:00 PM–6:00 PM.
Responsibilities include verifying insurance eligibility, making calls to patients and insurance companies, answering incoming phone calls, posting insurance and patient payments, assisting with daily billing tasks, and researching and resolving billing and insurance issues.
- Prior experience in the medical field strongly preferred
- Prior experience with billing and insurance preferred
- Strong math skills
- Good phone etiquette
- High school diploma required
