PRN Physical Rehabilitation Network (PRN) and its family of brands is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Account Representative to support revenue cycle and medical billing operations from home.
This role is responsible for full payor follow-up, managing claims, resolving denials, and helping ensure timely payment of open accounts. The position is remote, with work limited to approved states.
Requirements & Qualifications
Core responsibilities
- Manage primary and secondary claims
- Respond promptly to billing inquiries from patients, insurance companies, and internal departments
- Work with clinics to identify and resolve outstanding account balance issues
- Resolve denials and submit appeals
- Use available resources to secure timely payment of open claims
- Research correspondence and take appropriate action
- Contribute to daily A/R goals
- Resolve accounts in follow-up queues
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years of prior medical receivable collections experience preferred
- Understanding of medical claims processing
- Experience with insurance systems
- Knowledge of insurance rules and regulations related to billing and collections
- Ability to understand claim denials and rejections
- Ability to read an Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
