Small, patient-focused durable medical equipment (DME) provider seeking a front office professional to manage patient-facing operations and assist with insurance billing.
This role has broad ownership of daily front office workflows and requires someone who can keep operations moving, communicate effectively with patients and vendors, and help resolve billing/documentation issues.
Key responsibilities include greeting patients and visitors, routing phone calls, scheduling appointments and equipment deliveries/pickups, verifying insurance eligibility and benefits for DME orders, preparing and following up on insurance billing paperwork, maintaining HIPAA-compliant documentation, coordinating with insurance companies and physician offices, handling office operations tasks such as supplies, mail, filing, and data entry, and supporting special projects as needed.
3+ years of administrative or front office experience Healthcare or DME background preferred Working knowledge of insurance verification and billing/claims processes Strong initiative and follow-through Ability to manage multiple priorities, interruptions, and deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfort with new practice management and billing software Attention to detail with insurance documentation and compliance Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and Google Docs Positive, people-first attitude Valid driver's license Ability to pass a background check High school diploma or equivalent required
