Medical Insurance Billing Specialist for cardiology at Cardiac Study Center.
This role supports remote billing operations for Washington State residents and focuses on insurance claim management, denial resolution, appeals, corrected claims, and reimbursement tracking. The position works closely with insurance companies, internal departments, and the business office to ensure accurate claims processing and timely payment for outpatient cardiology services.
The schedule is Monday through Friday with no weekends or holidays.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of healthcare experience
- At least 1 year of experience processing health insurance claims
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of CMS-1500 claim forms
- Knowledge of coordination of benefits (COB), PHI, and medical terminology
- Experience using insurance payer websites to verify eligibility and claim status
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented with a high commitment to accuracy
- Strong communication skills for working with insurance companies and internal teams
- Must reside in Washington State at the time of hire
