We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing for medical services provided to patients. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the billing process within a medical office environment.
Responsibilities
- Follow up on medical billing claims and take appropriate action to process and pay claims.
- Follow up on outstanding patient balances, set up payment plans, and contact patients regarding statements.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines related to medical billing and coding.
- Utilize EMR and EHR systems for efficient data management.
- Communicate professionally with patients, clients, and co-workers.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and the healthcare industry.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems is highly desirable.
- Previous work in a medical office setting is beneficial.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
