House of Hearts ABA is seeking a highly experienced ABA Therapy Medical Billing & Credentialing Specialist to join the team.
The role focuses on handling in-network and out-of-network claims, ensuring accurate billing processes, maintaining compliance with insurance policies and industry regulations, and supporting provider credentialing and contracting.
Responsibilities
- Process in-network and out-of-network claims accurately and efficiently
- Obtain Verification of Benefits (VOBs) and review coverage details
- Manage prior authorizations for ABA therapy services
- Handle Single Case Agreements (SCAs) and negotiate terms with insurance providers
- Submit insurance contracts and manage the credentialing and contracting process
- Coordinate front-desk billing tasks, including insurance portals and payer calls
- Track and follow up on outstanding claims to ensure timely payment
- Maintain compliance with insurance policies, coding requirements, and industry regulations
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- 7+ years of ABA-specific medical billing and credentialing experience required
- Proven expertise in insurance contracting and credentialing processes
- Strong understanding of insurance verification, authorizations, and claim submissions
- Experience working with major insurance portals and handling SCAs
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree preferred/required per posting
- Minimum 6 years of experience listed in posting
