Key responsibilities include preparing and submitting insurance claims, resolving denials and billing discrepancies, maintaining patient accounts, communicating with insurance companies and internal staff, and supporting revenue cycle functions.
Requirements & Qualifications
Previous medical billing experience is required.
Ophthalmology billing experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of medical insurance regulations, claim submission, and payment posting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
