We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Medical Billing Specialist and Office Manager to lead a healthcare practice with energy and precision. This role combines medical billing and coding responsibilities with office management to support smooth administrative operations, compliance, and financial health.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee medical billing processes including claims submission, follow-up, denials management, and reconciliation using EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix.
- Manage office operations by supervising administrative staff, coordinating schedules, and ensuring smooth daily workflow.
- Maintain accurate patient records, medical documentation, and billing information in compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
- Monitor financial performance through budgeting, fiscal management, and revenue cycle analysis.
- Lead HR functions including hiring, onboarding, staff training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare policies, JCAHO standards, utilization management protocols, and health regulation policies.
- Communicate with providers, insurance companies, patients, and external agencies to support efficient patient management.
- Use Microsoft Office tools for reporting, scheduling, and administrative support.
- Coordinate clinic operations related to acute care and dental office management.
- Stay current on managed care policies, medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare legislation.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical office management with a strong background in medical billing and coding.
- Extensive knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience managing healthcare staff within a clinical or dental setting.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance, JCAHO standards, health regulation policies, and utilization management.
- Excellent fiscal management skills including budgeting, financial analysis, and revenue cycle optimization.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records procedures, EHR systems, and managed care processes.
- Exceptional managerial communication skills and customer service focus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in acute care or dental clinic settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of nursing or dental office workflows is a plus.
