Compassionate Arms is a licensed home care agency serving Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties since 2015. The organization supports seniors and individuals with disabilities through community mental health, state home help, area agency on aging contracts, Medicare/Medicaid dual-eligible health plans, and private pay services.
This role supports billing and revenue cycle operations for caregiver services. The specialist will work with caregiver timesheets, electronic visit verification data, program-specific invoicing, claim submission, denials, payment posting, eligibility verification, and billing record maintenance.
The position is based in Sterling Heights and requires in-office attendance Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- 1+ years of medical billing, claims processing, or healthcare revenue cycle experience
- Working knowledge of claim submission, denial resolution, and payment posting
- Strong Excel skills and ability to learn new software systems quickly
- High attention to detail and accuracy with large volumes of data
- Ability to manage recurring deadlines and prioritize independently
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: home care, home health, or long-term services and supports billing experience
- Preferred: familiarity with Michigan Medicaid programs and managed care plans
- Preferred: experience with electronic visit verification platforms
- Preferred: medical billing certification such as CPB or CMRS
- Preferred: bilingual Arabic/English or Chaldean/English
