The CCS Companies is hiring a Medical Billing Specialist / Insurance Recovery Analyst to process commercial, governmental, and third-party liability medical claims.
This role focuses on workman's compensation, general liability, and motor vehicle liability claims for hospital clients. The position works claims through investigation, negotiation, billing, follow-up, and appeals to help recover maximum allowable medical fees in a timely and confidential manner.
This position offers a hybrid schedule after training, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
You should have:
- At least 4 years of directly related industry experience
- Experience with workers' compensation, motor vehicle, or liability claims processing
- Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology
- Understanding of coordination of benefits
- Familiarity with claims systems such as Emdeon/ChangeHealthcare, EPIC, Cerner, Meditech, or similar systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong phone communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of state laws and insurance statutes
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred
- Insurance Institute certificate(s) highly desirable
