Practivity is a growing practice administration services organization that supports independent practices, outpatient facilities, and physician groups. This full-time Medical Billing Specialist role is responsible for managing the full billing cycle, including claims submission, follow-up on unpaid claims, denial resolution, payment posting, and client communication.
The position is hybrid remote and includes a company-provided computer. You will work with internal team members and physician clients to help maintain accurate, compliant, and efficient revenue cycle operations.
• Proficiency in medical billing • Experience with electronic claim submissions • Strong understanding of revenue cycle processes • Working knowledge of payer guidelines • Experience with electronic health records • Excellent attention to detail • Strong organizational and time management skills • Ability to work independently and manage priorities • Clear written and verbal communication skills • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations • Ability to interpret EOBs and ERAs
Preferred: • 3+ years of medical billing experience • Familiarity with remote billing environments • Experience with patient collections • Basic understanding of medical terminology • Experience working with independent physician practices • Knowledge of audit and compliance standards • Experience with AdvancedMD and AthenaOne
