Bahr Dermatology is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented medical biller to manage the full accounts receivable workflow for a dermatology practice. This role is responsible for claim submission, denial follow-up, payment posting, patient balances, appeals, reconciliation, and reporting. The ideal candidate takes ownership of outstanding A/R, works independently, and helps improve reimbursement and collections for the practice.
Requirements & Qualifications
Required
- Previous professional medical billing experience
- Experience with insurance claims and accounts receivable
- Experience reviewing and interpreting EOBs
- Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM
- Strong understanding of the medical revenue cycle
- Experience with payment posting and reconciliation
- Experience managing denials, unpaid claims, and appeals
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
- Dependable attendance and consistent follow-through
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Dermatology billing experience
- Experience with Mohs surgery and dermatologic procedures
- Experience with Medicare and multiple commercial insurance carriers
- Experience with the practice management/EHR system used by Bahr Dermatology
- At least 2 years of ICD-10 experience preferred
