A busy physician medical practice is seeking an experienced medical biller to support the full revenue cycle. The role involves working closely with physician owners, handling billing-related tasks accurately and efficiently, and ensuring timely follow-through on work assignments.
Responsibilities include charge entry, contacting insurance companies and hospitals for billing information, payment posting, working denials, managing accounts receivable, and using insurance websites, the clearinghouse, and the electronic medical records system effectively. There is opportunity for advancement based on experience, ability, attitude, and aptitude.
- Minimum 5 years of medical billing experience
- Strong understanding of eligibility and insurance verification
- Knowledge of the full revenue cycle and billing cycle
- Very good working knowledge of Nevada insurance plans
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
- Billing certification is a plus
- Previous experience is a plus
- Must be accurate, efficient, honest, hardworking, and able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner
