Skilled medical biller needed to support revenue cycle operations in a full-time remote role. The position focuses on billing workflow management, claims follow-up, denial resolution, and payment tracking.
Key responsibilities include preparing and submitting billing data and medical claims, maintaining accurate patient information, preparing invoices, collecting referrals and pre-authorizations, monitoring late payments, resolving financial discrepancies, appealing denied claims, assisting patients with payment plans, and maintaining billing software and collection reports.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a medical biller or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of billing software and electronic medical records
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a remote environment
- Rheumatology, oncology, or infusion billing experience is helpful
- NextGen experience is a plus
- eClinicalWorks experience is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree not required; degree in business, healthcare administration, accounting, or a related field is a plus
