Medical Biller / Bookkeeper

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Medical Biller / Bookkeeper to join the team. This role combines medical billing responsibilities with day-to-day bookkeeping functions and is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, and able to manage multiple priorities.

You will work closely with clients to answer billing questions, process forms needed for insurance billing, collect necessary documentation, follow up on inquiries, and accurately record patient information.

Responsibilities

• Process insurance claims and follow up on outstanding balances
• Post insurance and patient payments
• Review and resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies
• Verify patient insurance and benefits as needed
• Maintain accurate billing records and reports
• Answer phones, assist clients with questions, take messages, and screen calls
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
• Follow up with clients and payments as needed
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements
• Prepare deposits and maintain financial records
• Assist with monthly financial reporting
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using accounting software
